Honesty’s a naïve girl who is starting her freshman year at Salton University. Over the years she was a sheltered girl, joined at the hip with her father Howard. We are all sexual beings. But we still treat sex as a taboo subject. That is not the case in the novel Noni: The Story of a Nympho by Kimoko Z. Lee who has been dubbed the “Maverick of Underground Adult Urban Fiction”. Kimoko writes the main character Noni as having absolutely no qualms about being extremely sexually active with a number of partners. Her first sexual encounter unleashed a sexual appetite that is ravenous. Noni embraces her sexuality and to hell with anyone who does not like or agree with it. This behavior also lands Noni into some very tense and even dangerous situations. She shifts her feminine wiles into action to navigate through such situations and come out the other side. This novel definitely supports the adage the woman want sex just as much as men do!
Kimoko Z. Lee is a newcomer to the Urban genre but I expect great things from her. I asked her why she considers herself a “Maverick” writer. She told me that it is because she does not follow any of the traditional styles of writing. She has completely ignored the spelling and grammatical rules; and political correctness has been thrown out of the window. Her first “street” novel “Noni” is written as she proclaims in “Hood Slang and Ebonically Speaking”. I loved the book and found it very easy and exciting to read. This first effort from Kimoko Z Lee shows off her gift for steamy storytelling and exciting adventurous hood tales. Noni is a must read for anyone who likes erotic fiction or contemporary urban street literature.
